The Tusk Turtle Trail has officially launched with 16 life-sized turtle sculptures are discoverable in iconic locations around Central London. The Tusk Turtle Trail sculptures invite passersby to pause, reflect and engage with urgent marine conservation issues.
The installations are positioned in some of London's most recognisable locations. The sculptures' distinctive backdrops have been supported by Art of London, Shaftesbury Capital and The View from The Shard. Locations include Covent Garden, The Ritz, Carnaby Street, Leicester Square, St James's Market and Piccadilly Circus in the West End's world-class art district, and the top of The Shard.
Participating artists include: Pop Artist Mauro Perucchetti;The Rolling Stones guitarist and Tusk ambassador, Ronnie Wood;Dragons' Den stars and entrepreneurs Deborah Meaden and Steven Bartlett; English actor and comedian and his wife John and Jen Cleese; Hannah Shergold and Jemma Powell; British photographer Rankin; writer and artist Harland Miller; and others. Each turtle sculpture has been generously sponsored by a Tusk partner or supporter.
All proceeds raised during the auction goes to saving sea turtles.
